Our Projects

Three new lifts have become operational in Blocks B1, D1 and E to improve accessibility, following Blocks A, B3 and D3.  For promoting safety and facilitating barrier-free access, the lifts have a number of new features including the use of touchless technology, the installation of handrails and braille lift buttons and trilingual announcements for the visually impaired. 

To promote collaborative learning environments, the lecture theatres B4-LP-04 and B4-LP-06 have been renovated, after the six lecture theatres in Block D.  Electrical sockets and USB ports have been installed on the bench for every seat so that users can use electronic devices for learning and note-taking.

The EdUHK Sports Centre has been improved with the refurbished changing facilities, the multi-purpose rooms and the 400 m running track. 

Following the changing facilities on LP/F of the Amenities and Sports Complex (Block E), the changing facilities for the outdoor swimming pool on P/F has been renovated to provide a hygiene and user-friendly facilities.

More than 100 toilets and 10 pantries in Blocks A to E have been refurbished in phases over the past few years.  More touchless sanitary fittings and improved mechanical ventilation system have been installed to enhance hygiene conditions. 

New learning areas in the Learning Commons had been created in 2021, which include STEM Innovation Hub, Creative Commons, group discussion rooms and sound booths.  Higher utilization of the Learning Commons has been observed.
