HKERA Submission Guidelines

We invite proposals for paper presentations, poster sessions, workshops, and symposia.

  Paper Presentations
  • Abstract: Proposals for paper presentations should be 200-250 words in length and should include the aims, methodology, results and conclusion. 

  • Duration: Oral presentations should be limited to 25 minutes, followed by a 5-minute Q&A and group discussion.

  • Language: The working languages of the conference are English, Putonghua and Cantonese. The abstract should be in the same language as the oral presentation during the conference.

  Poster Presentations
  • Format: Poster sessions will be arranged during lunch breaks. Authors will have the opportunity to display their work and interact with a larger number of delegates in an informal and dynamic fashion throughout the session.

  • Display: Will be announced soon.

  Workshops
  • Format: The workshops are scheduled for 90 minutes and aim to demonstrate or teach particular procedures, skills, or techniques. Some explanatory or introductory information should be provided, while there will be ample time for audience interaction, participation, and involvement.

  • Abstract: Proposals for workshop sessions should be 200-250 words in length and should include the aims, formats, intended results and conclusion.

  • Language: The working languages of the conference are English, Putonghua and Cantonese. The abstract should be in the same language as the oral presentation during the conference.

  • Submission: To submit the abstract, please

       

  Symposia
  • Format: The symposia are scheduled for 90 minutes and will involve three to four individual presentations which are on a shared theme or topic. The symposium organizer should conceive and design the session to allow time for individual presentations and Q&A and/or audience discussion.

  • There should be at least one registered participant in each individual presentation.

  • Language: The working languages of the conference are English, Putonghua and Cantonese.
