First Forum of Learning Innovations and Emerging Technology Forum Series
EdUHK, Peking University (PKU), the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE), and the UNESCO Chairs Programme held the first event in the Learning Innovations and Emerging Technologies Forum Series on 10 December. EdUHK’s GIET hosted the first forum, entitled “Technology-enabled Learning for Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education”.

QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2024
At the panel titled "Micro-mastery: Equipping Learners with Bite-sized Skills for a Changing Job Market," Professor Lee delved into the concept of "micro-credentials" and emphasized the significance of students acquiring "micro-mastery" skills. He highlighted UNESCO's perspective on micro-credentials and examined both the prospects and challenges of integrating micro-mastery and micro-credentials into the education system. Professor Lee underscored how this integration can enhance lifelong learning, promote personal and professional development, and contribute to a sustainable and inclusive future.

"Education for the Future - Towards Sustainable Development," at the 40th Anniversary Academic Forum of STMC, Sha Tin Methodist College, Hong Kong
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of STMC, the school hosted the "40th Anniversary Academic Forum" on June 29th, centered around the theme "Education for the Future." Professor John C.K. LEE was the keynote speaker and presented on the topic "Education for the Future - Towards Sustainable Development." Hundreds of educators, parents, teachers, and students attended the forum in the school hall to gain a deeper understanding of the various challenges associated with future education.

GRIFE Conference titled “Educational Reforms through the perspectives of Chinese and Finnish Education”
EdUHK hosted the GRIFE Conference 2024 from 5 to 6 June. The Conference brought together over 150 scholars, educators and practitioners from Hong Kong, mainland China and overseas for rich dialogue on educational reforms with a special focus on the Chinese and Finnish educational systems.

Empowering Youth Skills for Green Innovation: Fostering Green transition to a Sustainable Future (Symposium)
A symposium on how to transition to a green lifestyle was held by the UNEVOC Centre (Hong Kong) at the EdUHK, with support from the UNESCO Beijing office. Dr Margarita Pavlova, Director of the UNEVOC Centre and Associate Head of the Department of International Education organized the event. It was attended by people from a wide variety of backgrounds, including the industry, youth organizations, educators and students.
