UNEVOC Network Portal

Welcome

Welcome to the website of the UNESCO Chair at the Education University of Hong Kong!

The UNESCO Chair was awarded to the university in 2011 by UNESCO Paris. This was the first time that UNESCO awarded a Chair in Education to Hong Kong. Located on the southern coast of China, Hong Kong is an international city with excellent resources, so the UNESCO Chair is well-placed to play an important local, national and international role in working towards the UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on SDG No. 4 - Quality Education

Our priority is research and project work related to lifelong learning, vocational training. On this website, you will find information and resources related to our five priority areas:

1) Skills for Life

2) Minority Education

3) Third Age Learning

4) International Education

5) Inclusive Education

The UNESCO Chair (which is an institutional post, not a personal Chair) works best as part of a network. The challenges of SDG No.4 are substantial, and our different experiences are invaluable. Mutual sharing of research findings and of project details increases the potential impact of our work. For this reason, we warmly welcome partnerships with like-minded organisations, universities, government agencies and individuals. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to learn more about our work or to partner with us.
