This workshop aims to introduce participants to the eye-tracking technology. Eye-tracking is a method used to measure and analyze eye movements and gaze behavior. Infrared sensors or cameras are first used to accurately capture and record the position and movements of the eyes. These measurements are then transformed as data such as fixation points (where the eyes focus and linger), saccades (rapid eye movements between fixations), and pupil size changes, which is important information for studying human behaviors. Eye-tracking has numerous applications in behavioral neuroscience research, such as visual information processing, attention, reading and language processing, and so on.
