The University Research Facility of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (UDSAI), The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), is pleased to share highlights from the seminar “AI for Social Science: AI-Driven Innovation in Science-Guided Policy-Making,” which was successfully held on 5 March 2026 (Thu) from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at D2-LP-01, Tai Po Campus.

During the seminar, participants explored how the latest AI research—including **Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Reinforcement Learning, and Natural Language Processing (NLP)**—is enabling innovative tools for science-guided policy-making. The talk also discussed how interdisciplinary approaches integrating AI, economics, and political science can help support intelligence governance, including policy simulators, citizen needs indicators, and evidence-based policy recommendations.

The presentation was delivered by Dr. Georgina Curto, Senior Researcher and Team Lead at the United Nations University Institute in Macau, with Prof. Xu Guandong, Director of UDSAI (EdUHK), serving as moderator.

We sincerely thank all students, staff, and guests for joining and contributing to the discussion.
