Storytelling Time with Non-Chinese-Speaking Children

Minnie Pang Wing-tung, a student pursuing a bachelor's degree in English Studies and Digital Communication, recently completed a rewarding internship with CAL Hong Kong.

During the internship, Minnie prepared digital materials and adapted Chinese storybooks. She also honed her storytelling skills through guest-led workshops, and learned practical techniques to engage young audiences. During workshops, Minnie guided discussions to inspire deeper thinking.

Minnie appreciated guidance on the basics, and enjoyed interacting with the children and helping them understand the stories. Whether doing digital tasks or assisting with storytime, the internship offered immersive exposure in the fields she is studying.

Minnie is grateful for the hands-on experience cultivating skills vital for future English education endeavours. Her participation exemplifies EdUHK's dedication to developing many #EdUHKRisingStars through impactful opportunities.
