A Remarkable Experience at EdUHK Wofoo Leaders' Network (WLN)

Committee Members of EdUHK Wofoo Leaders' Network (WLN)

Being one of the EdUHK Wofoo Leaders' Network (WLN) committee members has been my wisest decision in my U-life. This year was tough, but fortunately, we successfully organised activities for the EdUHK students. I was proudly involved in organising these activities.

Firstly, it was a great pleasure to work with The Salvation Army to hold a handcraft activity targeting single-parent families. The training provides an opportunity for our students to learn how to hold DIY activities and have a chance to get along with children online. It also increased their understanding of children from single-parent families. I built better organisational and communication skills from liaising with the organisation to recruit volunteers and arrange the various activities.

To promote WLN activities to our schoolmates, we spent days and nights decorating the booths and designing the games. It was a memorable experience for us to learn how to organise a promotional event and get in touch with our schoolmates and other student organisations.

In addition to the above activities, I also gained good experience from other activities and learned how to cooperate with external parties. Joining WLN has given me an excellent opportunity to know my teammates and be friends. Overall, it was a great experience for me.

Student Affairs Office (SAO) plays the role of nurturing students’ leadership traits and awareness for different needy groups in our society by engaging them in various activities to accumulate more experiences in real life. For more details, please visit here.
