The Student Activities Fund (SAF) was created to encourage self-initiated activities from student groups for their leadership development as well as the enrichment of campus life.


(i)      All full-time students of the University are eligible to apply.

(ii)     The activity should be initiated by students.

(iii)    Activity must be held 1 October 2018 to 10 June 2019.

(iv)    The activity should not involve any honorarium and/or remuneration for the services provided by the activity organisers.

(v)     The total number of participants should not be less than 11 and at least 5 of them should be EdUHK students.

Application Procedure
(Student must read the Application Guideline before applying)

(i)   Application period: 3 September 2018 to 10 May 2019, subject to availability of funding.

(ii)   A completed application (Application Form, Programme Proposal, Financial Budget) MUST be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to the start of the programme. The result of application will be notified normally within two weeks upon receipt of the completed application. Late application will normally NOT be considered.

(iii)  Advisory session will be arranged for those applicants with questions on their proposals upon request. Applicants are required to send a written request, with draft application form attached, to ssyng@eduhk.hk for meeting arrangement.

(iv)   The applicant and the contact person should be the leaders of the proposed activity. All sections of the form should be filled and applicants may submit additional documents together with the application form for SAO’s consideration.

(v)   Applicants who obtain recommendation from an advisor / a referee should fill in the relevant part in the application form. The advisor / referee can be a staff-member of EdUHK or an organization relevant to the activity.
