From 9 to 17 May 2026, a delegation of 17 students from diverse academic disciplines participated in the UK Art and Culture Study Tour organised by the Resource Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies and Experiential Learning (RCISEL) of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). The tour provided students with a rich and immersive learning experience beyond the classroom, strengthening their understanding of the UK educational system, creative arts, and cultural heritage.

During the tour, students visited the University of Southampton, Anglia Ruskin University, Winchester School of Art, and Orchard House School. Through lectures, exchange sessions, and campus exploration, students gained insights into UK higher and primary education, teaching and learning approaches, and the integration of creativity across disciplines.

In addition to academic exposure, the tour enabled students to engage actively with the UK’s cultural and arts landscape. Across cities including London, Cambridge, Brighton, Southampton, and Windsor, students visited internationally renowned venues such as the V&A Museum and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, and took part in the Brighton Festival. These experiences broadened students’ cultural perspectives and helped them better understand how arts, heritage, and contemporary society are interconnected.

The study tour broadened students’ global perspectives, intercultural awareness, and critical understanding of the relationship between arts, culture, and education. By linking theoretical knowledge with real-world experiences, the tour contributed to both students’ personal growth and academic development, equipping them with broader perspectives for their future studies and careers.
