Prof. TSUI, Kwok Tung is Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at The Education University of Hong Kong. Prof TSUI received his Bachelor of Education (First Class Honours), PhD and Certificate in Teacher Education from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He started his career as a special education and secondary school teacher in Hong Kong, and then shifted to teacher education at the Northcote College of Education, where he worked for over 10 years prior to joining the University (the then Hong Kong Institute of Education) in 1994.
Prof. TSUI’s research interests include curriculum leadership, reform and innovation, teacher leadership and effectiveness, and teacher professional development. He has extensive experience in consultancy work and training in the local and international contexts. Prof. TSUI was appointed by the World Bank as an international consultant for two nationwide education projects in Vietnam in 2000 and 2008. He undertook consultancy work for UNESCO Bangkok in 2014 and 2015. In 2017-18 the Education University of Hong Kong was commissioned by the World Bank a consultancy project on Capacity Building for Lead Teacher Training Universities in Vietnam and Prof TSUI was the associate leader of this project. Locally, he has led a training programme for primary school curriculum leaders commissioned by the Education Bureau for more than ten years.
Prof. TSUI also takes an active role in serving the teacher profession and the wider education communities in various capacities. He was appointed by the Education Bureau as member of the Assessment Panel on Curriculum Leadership for the Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2013/2014 and as Panel chairman in 2015/2016. He was appointed by the Education Bureau as member of the High-level Advisory Panel of the Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2021/2022. Currently, he is serving as Independent School Manager of two primary schools in Hong Kong as well as supervisor of a local kindergarten.

Dr. LEUNG, Ka Wai holds dual master degrees from the Chinese University of HK in the field of Educational Psychology and the University of HK for Social Science Studies in Family Therapy respectively. She also gained a Specialist degree at the University of Virginia which focused in the area of Special Education and completed her Doctor of Education in the Chinese University of HK with her research interest in Lewinian Topological Psychology and the identification process of autistic adolescents and their mothers. Her research interests are in the areas of differentiation of instruction for academically diverse learners including teacher attitudes and practices related to academic diversity, and the change process in schools moving toward more academically responsive classrooms.

Dr. ZHANG, Yuefeng Ellen is currently an Assistant Professor of teaching of Department of Curriculum and Instruction in The Education University of Hong Kong, Vice President of Hong Kong Society of Small Class Teaching, and a Council member of The World Association of Lesson Study. She is also serving as Independent School Manager of a primary school in Hong Kong. Her main research interests include curriculum leadership, effective learning and teaching, teacher professional development and positive education and mindfulness. She has led many school-support projects which aimed to enhance teaching and learning, promote teacher professional development and develop schools, such as Learning Study projects and learning circles, in Hong Kong schools and in mainland China. She is currently teaching courses on effective learning & teaching and positive education for pre-service and in-service teacher programs in Hong Kong. She has taught many school leader/teacher training programmes in the area of effective learning and teaching in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, Sweden, Singapore, Indonesia, Austria, Italy, Kazakhstan and Poland.
