Registration Rates

1. Individual Rate

  • Early Bird – HK$2,100 ( by 1 Sept, 2009)
  • Regular – HK$2,500 ( from 2 Sept, 2009)

2. Student Rate

  • Early Bird – HK$1,000 ( by 1 Sept, 2009)
  • Regular – HK$1,200 ( from 2 Sept, 2009)

3. Local School Rates ( applicable to pre-schools, primary and secondary schools )

a. staff as an individual – HK$1,000

  • Apply to individuals serving local schools.

b. School-based Admission Rate - $1,000

  • A school can be a participant for registration purpose. It may send different staff members to the Conference sessions, one head per session.
  • A school can pay for multiple sets of school-based admission to meet its need.

c. Group Rate

  • A school may line up its staff members for ONE particular Conference day as Staff
    Development Day. The registration fees, regardless of no. of participants, are levied according to the total no. of classes in the school:

school with < 24 classes – HK$6,000 ; school with ≥ 24 classes – HK$8,000

  • Lunch excluded.
  • The school must indicate the preferred date of participation. Once accepted by the Conference Secretariat the choice is irreversible.

4. Conference Banquet

  • HK$350 ( optional )

Remarks:

The above fees include

  • admission to all sessions of the whole Conference ( Staff as an individual and School-based Admission Rate ) or of a designated Conference day ( Group Rate ). Optional banquet excluded.
  • conference pack, tea breaks and lunches ( unless otherwise specified )

Registration and Payment

1.

All payments should be made in Hong Kong dollar only.  For reference, US$1 is approximately equal to HK$7.8.

Student rate applies only to students pursuing an accredited academic degree at the time of registration.  A letter verifying your student status on institution letterhead must be submitted along with your registration (by email to primaryed@ied.edu.hk or by fax at ( 852 ) 2948 8712 ), or else the Individual Rate applies.
3.
Individual and Student Rates – please register online.  Privilege Rates for Local Schools – please complete the Registration Form and return. Contact the Conference Secretariat for enquiries.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Participants who need to withdraw from the Conference must submit written notification to the Conference Secretariat.  Approved refund will be made within one month after the Conference.  The general principle is,

  • for requests that reach the Conference Secretariat by 15 Oct 2009, a 75% refund on the paid registration fee;
  • for requests that reach the Conference Secretariat after 15 Oct 2009, a 20% refund on the paid registration fee;
  • no refunds will be made for non-attendance at the Conference; and
  • the banquet fee is a non-refundable payment.
