Profile
Dr. Manpreet Singh is an internationally recognized EdTech innovator and interdisciplinary researcher specializing in Artificial Intelligence, human-AI interaction, immersive technologies, and virtual learning ecosystems. As Programme Leader of one of Hong Kong's pioneering AI and EdTech double-degree programs, he is developing future-ready talent and advancing the responsible use of critical technologies in education.
His research focuses on the fusion of Generative AI, human-AI collaboration, and immersive virtual worlds to create scalable solutions that connect virtual experiences with authentic real-world learning. He has led the development of innovative platforms, including Math City, The Cardium, Atomic Shadows, and the Virtual School of Teachers' Training, reaching thousands of learners through game-based, AI-enabled learning environments that cultivate creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Through internationally recognized research, competitive funding, and technology-enhanced educational innovation, Dr. Singh is contributing to the global transformation of STEM education and the development of human-centered AI solutions that deliver measurable educational and societal impact.

- President's Award in Teaching 2026: As a recipient of the President's Award in Teaching 2026, early-career faculty member Dr Singh's teaching philosophy, known as the SHaPER framework (STEM Education through Hands-on Activities based on the Pedagogy of Experiential Learning using Emerging Technologies with Real-time Teacher Scaffolding), has been recognized as an innovative way to develop students' 21st-century skills of creativity and critical thinking in STEM education courses.
