Event Highlights: Over 80 Secondary and Primary Students Foster AI Literacy Through Digital Human & AI Literacy, and AI Emo-care Diary Writing Workshops
Our department recently organized two engaging AI literacy learning workshops for students, helping them strengthen their understanding of AI, digital human and its responsible use on 8 and 9 May 2026.
More than 80 students from SKH Tsoi Kung Po Secondary School and Yuen Long Long Ping Estate Tung Koon Primary School took part in AI Life Story Writing Competition co-organized by our department, combining AI literacy learning with hands-on life story writing, and digital human making. Participants also had a valuable experience, gaining practical AI literacy while learning how to use AI responsibly and ethically. They also enjoyed a campus tour as part of a fun AI day. Also, we provided a school visit and workshops to help the primary school promote the World Reading Day in April 2026.

Dr. Ng Tsz Kit Davy led a digital human and AI literacy workshop, where students learned how digital humans and AI tools can be used to develop life narratives creatively for themselves, older adults and historical figures.

Prof. Yanjie Song conducted an AI diary writing workshop using Emocare, guiding students to explore how AI can support reflective diary writing and enhance communication through everyday storytelling.
