Event Highlight: ECNU Delegation Visits EdUHK for Exchanges in Mathematics Education and Teacher Training
A delegation from East China Normal University (ECNU) recently visited The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) for in-depth discussions on academic collaboration. The delegation included Professor Cheng Tao, Associate Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences; Associate Researcher Zhang Min from the Shanghai Institute of AI in Education; and Xu Qingqing, Project Officer, office of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan affairs. They were received a warm welcome from Dr. Ling Man Ho Alpha, Acting Head of the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology, and Dr. Sun Daner, Associate Head of the Department.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on curriculum design, talent development frameworks, and teacher professional development in mathematics education. They shared their respective experiences and approaches, and explored potential areas for future collaboration, including faculty and student exchanges, joint teaching and research initiatives, and the integration of artificial intelligence in mathematics education. The meeting laid a solid foundation for further substantive cooperation between the two universities.
