On 19 November 2025, Dr CHAN Tse Tin, David, Assistant Professor from the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology (MIT), delivered a guest talk at the Digital Education Centre of Excellence (CoE) meeting organised by the Education Bureau (EDB) for seconded teachers promoting digital education in schools.
In his session, “Sharing on the Latest AI Development and Its Application on Education,” Dr Chan explored the opportunities and challenges of generative AI in education. He discussed the evolving role of teachers, key concerns such as AI hallucinations, deepfakes, privacy, and AI detection tools, and shared practical strategies, including the 6-P Pedagogy, to support the ethical and effective use of AI in teaching and learning.
