Event Highlights: Two Local School Visits

Technology can transform lives and promote educational equity. With this belief, our BSc(AI&EdTech) Year 4 students are exploring how robotics can support SEN learners. To give them practical exposure and strengthen project development, the INT4098 teaching team (Ms XIE Yishan Ellen from the Department of MIT and Mr TSUI Wai Tung Roman from the Department of SEC) organised visits to two local SEN schools.
At Haven of Hope Sunnyside School, students saw real-world applications of IT, robotics, and AI for children with intellectual disabilities, experiencing assistive tools like eye-tracking devices and VR CAVE. At Society of Boys’ Centres Hui Chung Sing Memorial School, they observed how technology empowers SEN students and creates opportunities for participation in innovation and technology development. These visits sparked new ideas and deepened understanding for their projects.
