Event Highlights: Summer Day Camp 2025 - A journey into the mysteries of AI and mathematics
The Summer Day Camp 2025 was successfully held in The Education University of Hong Kong, Tai Po Campus, on 1st August 2025. The event attracted nearly 70 senior secondary students from various secondary schools across Hong Kong.
Lectures were delivered by our academic and teaching staff on the following topics:
- From Mathematics to Intelligence: The Power of Modelling
- Enhancing Learning: Creating Your AI Learning Companion
During the Camp, participants engaged with lectures on mathematics, AI and their applications in education.
In addition, the students visited the Extended Reality Room in the library, where they explored augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, gaining insights into their diverse applications for learning and teaching.
The introduction of our undergraduate programmes was delivered by the respective programme leaders. They highlighted the key pathways available to aspiring professional educators in Primary Mathematics, Information and Communication Technology, and Primary Science. Students also learned about potential career prospects, professional qualifications, and opportunities for further studies.
