Aims & Scope

MetaACES is a multidisciplinary platform dedicated to exploring the intersection of the metaverse and AI companions in education and society. Our aim is to facilitate rigorous research and dialogue on the companionship between humans and virtual entities, employing both hardware and software applications that leverage advanced AI techniques. We seek to foster collaboration among researchers and practitioners globally, with a focus on enhancing educational practices and addressing real-world societal challenges through innovative technology.

We invite submissions that encompass a wide array of research topics, including the use of deep learning methods to enhance interactions between humans and AI companions. This includes, but is not limited to, applications in formal and informal learning environments, training, workforce development, and cognitive and emotional support through assistive robotics.

The conference program will feature keynote speeches, teacher forums, and paper presentations, providing a rich environment for knowledge exchange. We encourage research that adopts theoretical perspectives, evidence-based practices, and praxis research that bridges the gap between theory and practical application, ensuring that each informs the other.

MetaACES is particularly interested in research conducted within diverse contexts, including educational institutions, business sectors, and various societal settings. We aim to understand how learning designs can be effectively translated into practice, emphasizing the importance of empirically grounded evaluations in learning.

All accepted papers will be published in ISSN-coded proceedings, and selected full papers will be invited to submit for publication in the Open Access journal: Research and Practice in Technology Enhanced Learning. Through these efforts, we aspire to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in the dynamic fields of education and technology.
