Easy access to education resources in downtown public library
In late 2005, the HKIEd Library collaborated with the Hong Kong Public Libraries (HKPL) in initiating an Education Resource Centre at the Kowloon Public Library. With over 15,000 collection items on education provided by HKPL, which include course reference material of programmes offered by HKIEd, the Centre can help address the need of professional educators, students and the general public in continuously enhancing self-learning in education.

Students on catwalk in swinging fashion
On 7 December 2005, eight teams, each with two members, formed by Home Economics final year students staged and cat-walked their way through a spectacular fashion show. Presenting the show is an essential component in the module of Creative Expression in Fashion Development.

The students, dressed in their finished apparel, showcased what they have learnt; such as design, research, communication, fabrication analysis, graphic drawing and IT usage.
