Preparing for the Academic Structure Reform
In the foreseeable future, we will witness a reform of the academic structure for senior secondary and higher education. The extended period of undergraduate study will provide the Institute with valuable opportunities in offering an extensive range of personal and professional development activities to support students' whole person development through formal and informal curricula. Such arrangement will also give the Institute room to further strengthen the linkage between curriculum and professional practice.

Enhancing Our Capacity to Support the Education Community
The Institute now offers over 70 percent of its programmes at degree and postgraduate levels. We have attained self-accrediting status on 1 May 2004. Grounded in these key developments, we will work towards achieving our goal of re-titling the Institute to "University" This change will support the community's desire for the upgrading of the teaching profession and better reflect the status that the Institute has achieved.
