Participating in the AIA Quest for the Champion Communicator 2005

We Are Proud of You

On 12 February, two HKIEd students — Sze Wah-sun, Bachelor of Education (Primary) Year 3 student and Xu Ling-ling, Bachelor of Education (Languages) Year 4 student, represented the Institute in the competition. In the face of very impressive contestants from other tertiary institutions, Sze and Xu performed exceedingly well - Sze was the second runner-up while Xu was the merit prize winner. Sze impressed the judges with her fluency in English and Putonghua as much as with her
confidence.

The best three winners from Hong Kong, including Sze (photo), will represent Hong Kong in the final round of competition, to be held in Nanjing on 16 April 2006, during which approximately 21 elite students from major cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou and Fujian, will compete for the honour of Champion Communicator 2006. They will give a speech in English and Putonghua on a designated topic, followed by a question from the Panels of Judges after the speech.
