Participating in the AIA Quest for the Champion Communicator 2005

At the close of the two-hour production, a gigantic image of metropolitan Hong Kong was projected on the cyclorama. The arrangement not only brought the audience back to the present day world, but also posed a big, yet basic question - "What is my price?"

The performance, which was the result of a demanding 120 hours of rehearsal over two months, involving the hard work of cast and crew, was rewarded with applause and praise. After the play, Dr Vicki Ooi, Visiting Scholar in the English Department and Director of "The Visit" held a spontaneous questions-and-answers session with the audience. Everybody was challenged by this play, but Joy of Learning wanted to hear what some members of the audience and the cast felt.

This experience of performing in the play is very useful to my future career as an English teacher. I want to apply the techniques I learnt into my classroom teaching and in drama production in my teaching career later on.
