On March 24–25, 2025, Ms. Lam Tin Miu, Giselle, Lecturer II from IE, visited Tsinglan School and Minxin Hong Kong School Guangzhou Nansha in Guangdong Province, China. The visit aimed to strengthen departmental networks, explore collaborations with prestigious Greater Bay Area (GBA) schools, and align with the university’s strategic focus on GBA institutions. It also facilitated academic exchange, student placement opportunities, career development, and research collaborations.
Key activities included campus tours showcasing facilities, three meetings with teachers to discuss partnerships, class observations of bilingual, international, and Hong Kong DSE curricula, and professional discussions for exchanging best practices.
The visit yielded significant outcomes: expanded professional networks with senior management and teaching staff, enhanced understanding of GBA-focused curricula, opportunities for student placements, and potential research collaborations with Mainland China institutions. Overall, it laid the groundwork for future partnerships and academic initiatives in the GBA.
