Action ResearchAn collaborative action research with 8 local primary or secondary school teachers will be conducted based on the theme “The Future Physical Education”. It not only engages PE practitioners to inquire the philosophies, effectives, good practices and areas of improvement of their current practices but also a way for the Department of Health and Physical Education from the Education University of Hong Kong to contribute to the PE teachers’ community and provides chances for PE teachers to contribute to academic knowledge. Training sessions on action research will be arranged for the teachers involved in the project to develop their skills and knowledge to conduct the research studies. All research projects will be closely supervised for enhancing participating teachers’ full understanding of the research process, effectively reflection on their practice, and demonstrating improvement in their work accordingly. The participating teachers will be advised to conduct a thorough literature review relevant to their research theme. These research projects will undergo at least two action research cycles. The research result with insights on good practices / learning points with solid evidences will be shared for sharing in the conference and parallel sessions in Hong Kong Physical Education Teachers Conferene.
