Publication of a Special Issue on International Chinese Language Education in the Greater Bay Area, in the International Journal of Chinese Language Education

The International Journal of Chinese Language Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Journal") is jointly published by the Department of Chinese Language Studies at The Education University of Hong Kong, the Chinese Language Program at Columbia University, and Chung Hwa Book Co. (H.K.) Ltd. Since its inception in 2017, the Journal has earned a prestigious reputation in the field of international Chinese language education.

The Alliance published a "Special Issue on International Chinese Language Education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" in this Journal, which was officially released in June 2023 (Issue 13). This Special Issue invited Chinese language experts and scholars from various regions of the Greater Bay Area to contribute. Centered on the theme of international Chinese language teacher training in the Greater Bay Area, it provides in-depth explorations of topics including the region's international Chinese language curricula, teaching materials, pedagogical methods, and assessment systems. It also examines the influence of the area's linguistic and cultural characteristics on international Chinese language education and discusses related strategies. The overarching aim of this Special Issue is to promote the effective implementation and sustainable development of international Chinese language teaching.
