2nd FLAN Outcome Based Learning Sharing Seminar

 

The FLAN OBL Team organized the 2nd OBL Sharing Seminar on 21 September 2011. The seminar was divided into two parts. In Part I, Dr. CHEUNG Sau Hung (OBL coordinator of the Chinese Department) and Dr. WANG Lixun (OBL coordinator of the English Department) reported the findings of OBL evaluations in the pilot courses. Four colleagues were invited to share their experiences and insights of the OBL approach after piloting OBL courses in the second semester of 2010-11 in Part II of the seminar. They were Mr. CHAU Lap & Dr. LIU Pui Lee from the Chinese Department and Dr. Hawk Chang & Prof. David C.S. Li from the English Department.

The sharing seminar was fruitful because the colleagues generously shared their valuable experiences and good practices in piloting the OBL approach in their teaching. Their kind contributions made the sharing an exceptionally meaningful event. We also learnt from the evaluation data analysis that all participants agreed that they could achieve the Learning Outcomes of the Seminar and they were looking forward to future related activities organized by FLAN.
