人文學院通訊 FHM Newsletter Student Visit to the Hong Kong Public Records Office, 13 November 2015 參觀政府檔案處(2015年11月13日) A visit to the Hong Kong Public Records Office was held on 13 November 2015. The visit aimed at providing BEd(HIST) students with chances to gain hands-on experience doing archival research. The trip focused particularly on teaching students how to locate archival materials related to the “1967 Riots” or “May Upheaval.” Establishment of History Education Student Association 歷史教育同學會成立 The History Education Student Association (HESA) was successfully established by the first BEd(HIST) cohort. HESA will serve as a platform for BEd(HIST) students to exchange information and share their experiences and good practices in learning. It also helps to promote, encourage and maintain a cohesive relationship with the students within the programme as well as across other programmes under the Faculty. World History Seminar Series, April and May 2016 世界史講座系列 (2016年4月-5月) Co-organized with the Department of Literature and Culture Studies, the BEd(HIST) programme launched its first World History Seminar Series in April and May 2016. It was a good opportunity for students to see how historians work and to learn about areas of history outside of the curriculum.
