Synopsis
To explore sustainable development in action, FEHD hosted an online sharing session on 27 May 2026 that focused on designing and implementing SDG-infused experiential learning activities. The discussion featured Dr Michelle Cheng, Dr Norman B. Mendoza, and Dr Weiyan Xiong, Co-PIs of a university-wide CRAC initiative which aimed to foster students’ SDG awareness and competencies. The speakers shared practical insights into co-curricular programme design, using three specific SDGs, i.e. Goal 4 - Quality Education, Goal 10 - Reduced Inequalities, and Goal 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities, to demonstrate how abstract sustainability concepts can be translated into concrete learning goals, hands-on activities, and meaningful student reflections. Through this session, participants gained actionable ideas for managing pacing, allocating resources, addressing challenges, and evaluating overall programme impact.
