We are delighted to extend our warmest congratulations to Dr Soobin Choi on the publication of the article titled “Boosting Novice Teachers’ Retention Intention: International Evidence on the Role of Mentoring via Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment,” co-authored with Seijoon Park, is now featured in Journal of Educational Administration. This study reveals that mentoring significantly enhances teachers’ expected career length, primarily through organizational commitment, while job satisfaction plays a lesser role. Teacher retention is a pressing global issue. The findings provide actionable insights for school leaders to design mentoring programs that strengthen organizational commitment, thereby improving teacher retention and fostering sustainable educational environments.
