On 16 January 2023, the EPL departmental retreat was successfully held at the Alva Hotel by Royal. During the retreat, we reviewed what we have done in the past two years and reflected on how our achievements align with the mission at the department and faculty levels. After that, colleagues were divided into groups to brainstorm ideas for new strategies for developing pedagogies, enhancing student engagement, leading interdisciplinary research, and strengthening the identity in local, regional, and international areas. We hope to develop new practices to sustain and expand our impact on the industry.
