2026-08-12

Professor Yuzhuo Cai of the Department of Education Policy and Leadership has been elected Vice-President of the Triple Helix Association (THA) for the 2026–2028 term. The election results were formally validated at the Association’s Extraordinary General Assembly on 29 July 2026. The Triple Helix Association is an international community of scholars, practitioners and policymakers that advances research and collaboration among universities, industry and government. Professor Cai previously served on the THA Board and is also Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Triple Helix journal.

In his new role, Professor Cai will contribute to strengthening international and cross-sector collaboration, broadening participation in the Association’s activities, and creating opportunities for knowledge exchange among researchers, practitioners and policymakers. He also looks forward to supporting the development of a more connected and inclusive Triple Helix community. Professor Cai welcomes colleagues and partners to engage with the Association through its conferences, publications, chapters and special interest groups.

His election comes ahead of the 24th Triple Helix Conference, which will be jointly organised with the 3rd GRIFE Conference at The Education University of Hong Kong from 14 to 16 November 2026. The event will further strengthen EdUHK’s international engagement in education, research, innovation and cross-sector collaboration.
