Dr Cheng Tak Lai, was honoured to serve as an adjudicator for the Round of 12 in the "Future Cup" Primary Schools Inter-School Debate Competition on 9th May 2026. The event was organized by the Uplift Educational Charity Foundation and the Kowloon East Association, with the support from the Security Bureau of the HKSAR Government. In this highly competitive round, Dr. Cheng evaluated debates between six prominent primary schools: TWGHs Chow Yin Sum Primary School, St. Joseph's Primary School, Po Leung Kuk Grandmont Primary School, Baptist (Sha Tin Wai) Lui Ming Choi Primary School, St. Mary's Canossian School, and St. Francis of Assisi's English Primary School. Drawing on his academic background and professional experience, Dr Cheng assessed students on argumentative clarity, rebuttal effectiveness, and teamwork. His participation not only highlights EPL's commitment to young learners but also reaffirms its mission of collaborating with the local education community.
