BSc(EM) students benefited from participating in the "2030·Climate Act" Immersive Experiential Theatre offered by the Hong Kong Red Cross

2026-04-09

Led by the Course Instructor, Mr Justin Tse, 26 students from the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Executive Management Programme [BSC(EM)] participated in the "2030·Climate Act" immersive experiential theatre offered by the Humanitarian Education Centre of the Hong Kong Red Cross on 31 October 2025. This experiential learning activity provided a unique platform for our students to deepen their understanding of values education while exploring pressing climate issues and humanitarian concerns through engaging theatre experiences.

The immersive experiential theatre has incorporated real-life stories from individuals affected by extreme climate events and frontline rescue workers into the production. Coupled with immersive sound effects, lighting, and stage design, these elements help draw participants deeply into the authentic scenario. Participating students expressed that "2030·Climate Act" allowed them to deeply understand the complex challenges posed by climate change and its impact on vulnerable communities worldwide. Through immersive storytelling and role-play, students stepped into the shoes of those affected by the climate crisis, fostering a profound sense of empathy and global responsibility.

This experiential learning activity underscores our commitment to nurturing future leaders who are not only academically capable but also empathetic and proactive in addressing global issues and making meaningful contributions to society.
