Associate Professor Hayes Tang, a specialist in the sociology of higher education at EPL, was invited to participate in a panel discussion on Radio Television Hong Kong 3's BackChat programme on June 23. The discussion focused on Hong Kong's development as a global education hub, particularly in light of the recent achievement of the highest rate of improvement in the QS World University Rankings.
The session was joined by Professor James Tang, Secretary-General of the University Grants Committee (UGC), Professor Lau Chi-pang, Lawmaker and Associate Vice-President (Institutional Advancement and Public Affairs) of Lingnan University, and Mr Mervyn Cheung, Chairman of the Hong Kong Education Policy Concern Organisation.
Dr Tang's expertise in higher education policy and international academic profession provides valuable insights into the policy agenda of Hong Kong. We are proud to have Hayes contribute to important conversations about the future of higher education in Hong Kong universities.
