Dr Maxwell Ho Shares QEF VEES Project Outcomes at HKABE event

2026-11-02

On 24 October 2026, Dr Maxwell Ho joined the Ninth Annual General Meeting and Sharing for Secondary School Business Teachers organised by the Hong Kong Association for Business Education (HKABE). Dr Ho delivered a round-up sharing on a QEF-funded project, “The Values Education for Entrepreneurial Spirit (VEES) virtual learning platform: Nurturing Students’ Entrepreneurial Spirit and Sense of Belonging to the Greater-Bay-Area (GBA)”, which was implemented from June 2024 to September 2026.

The project aimed to nurture students’ entrepreneurial spirit and strengthen their sense of belonging to the GBA. The sharing highlighted the project’s school-based implementation and its teaching and learning resources, including topic videos, case studies, quizzes, worksheets, curriculum mapping and sample lesson plans. These resources support teachers in integrating values education into Business, Accounting and Financial Studies (BAFS), Citizenship and Social Development, self-directed learning and cross-curricular activities.

Over the project period, VEES reached more than 30 schools, over 45 teachers and 2,150 students through school engagement, teacher support, curriculum integration and classroom practice. Dr Ho also shared the project’s student evaluation evidence, which showed positive two-year mean changes in the project’s two core areas: entrepreneurial spirit and sense of belonging to the GBA. While the QEF project has concluded, the VEES platform and its teaching resources will remain accessible. Teachers and students may access the teacher platform and the student platform:

The event provided a valuable opportunity for EPL to disseminate the project’s outcomes to secondary-school business educators and encourage the continued use of VEES resources in schools.
