Bridging Theories and Practices in Digital Transformation in AI-STEM education and Chinese Medicine System: Two site visits paid by EdUHK master students

2026-03-25

A group of full-time master students studying a master programme at the Education University of Hong Kong paid two site visits to a primary school in Tung Chung, New Territories on 29 Jan. 26, and a large-scale Chinese medicine centre in Lam Tin, Kowloon on 12 Feb. 26, respectively. By interacting with the guest speakers and siter workers led by Dr Kwok, they learned how to cope with new strategies, develop knowledge management skills, and devise suitable pedagogies in the digital transformation of AI-STEM education and the Chinese medicine system in Hong Kong. The CEOs of the involved social enterprises, named Mr Joe Chen and Mr Dickson Lam, as well as their collaborating parties and colleagues, helped brainstorm the key stages of innovative digital transformation models and pinpointed the contextual barriers and facilitators during the students’ site visits. Participating students realized the theory-practice gaps in the digital transformation of NGOs and social enterprises in Hong Kong.
