Public Education Programmes and Seminars

The programmes and seminars are for raising awareness among the general public and the community on matters pertaining to elderly learning and education.

Following the successful completion of the Inaugural 2009 Public Seminars in Elderly Learning, a programme for 2009-10 and beyond was developed to further raise the EdUHK and public awareness of elderly education and learning, and to engage practitioners and researchers in the field for a better understanding of the needs and interests of the elderly for lifelong learning and education.

To achieve a broader impact, some of the public seminars were conducted in Cantonese to involve elderly participants, as well as practitioners from a wide range of non-government organizations and local schools.
