Presenter Guidelines

Guidelines for Symposium

The duration of each symposium session is 60 minutes (each room will only contain one session and its presentations), including Q&A. 

Due to the possibility of internet connection issues, all presenters shall save their presentation materials in a flash drive (e.g., USB).  Rooms will be open 30 minutes before the designated timeslot for sympoisum session.  Presenters are required to put them on the desktop computer provided by the University, at least 15 minutes before the start of the session.

The chairperson shall ensure all presentations strictly stay within the time limit. A student helper will be present in each room to provide technical support, as well as for time keeping. 

Guidelines for Oral Presentation

The duration of each oral presentation session is 60 minutes (each room will contain four presenters, and presenting time will be shared equally), including Q&A.

Due to the possibility of internet connection issues, all presenters shall save their presentation materials in a flash drive (e.g., USB).  Rooms will be open 30 minutes before the designated timeslot for oral session.  Presenters are required to put them on the desktop computer provided by the University, at least 15 minutes before the start of the session.

The first presenter in each room is defaulted to be the chairperson of the session. The chairperson shall ensure all presentations strictly stay within the time limit. A student helper will be present in each room to provide technical support, as well as for time keeping. 

Guidelines for Poster Presentation

The duration of the poster presentation session is 75 minutes.

A 1.2m (height) x 1.8m (width) board will be provided to each presenter.  Presenters should prepare their poster(s), and the poster size is suggested to be 0.9m-1.1m (height) x 1.2m-1.4m (width).

Each poster will be assigned a number. Please find the number of your poster in the conference programme booklet and attach your poster to the assigned board during the 1st break of the conference. Materials for attaching the poster will be provided.

You are responsible for attending the poster session, interacting with other particiapants, and removing your poster after the conference.
