Abstract

The two Presentations will examine reform strategies in the Asian and European Higher Education Area and the implementation strategy of two international partner universities. Experiences in joint master degree programs in Technical and Vocational Education and Training will be reported on the viewpoints from Magdeburg and Tianjin Universities. Based on the UNESCO-UNEVOC’s “International Framework Curriculum for a Master Degree for TVET Teachers and Lectures” (Hangzhou, 2004) a joint strategy in TVET in a Chinese-German program structure will be explained, and new ideas in the field of “TVET for sustainable development” and the implementation in Master- and PhD-Programs will be discussed with the seminar.

TVET Teacher and Trainer Education in the Context of the European Bologna Process – Implementation Strategy of German Universities and the International Cooperation Structure of the Magdeburg UNEVOC Centre
Klaus Jenewein is working as a Professor and as the Director of the Department of Vocational Education and Human Resources Development at Magdeburg University, Germany. In the last years he had taken different functions in the national scientific societies in Germany like the spokesman’s position of the Consortium of Technology and Education in the German Labor Association. His scientific experiences are related with the development of international cooperation projects especially with Universities in East Asia and with TVET research activities in national and international pilot projects in the tradition of Action Research.
He is member of the executive board of the Magdeburg UNESCO-UNEVOC-Centre “Technical and Vocational Education and Training for Sustainable Development”.
 
TVET Teacher Education in East Asia in the Context of the UNEVOC Hangzhou Framework – Experiences with International Cooperation
Dr. Liu Yang is working in the Institute of Vocational and Technical Education at Tianjin University, China. In recent years, she has been working within the vocational and technical education fields with international, and national agencies, including UNESCO-UNEVOC; the European Union, and the Ministry of Education of China. One of her current research projects concerns internationalization trends in TVET against the backdrop of economic globalization.
