TEDxEdUHK 2020 Student Speaker Recruitment

Do you have an idea worth spreading?

Apply to be part of a select line-up of speakers at the 4th annual TEDxEdUHK conference!

This is an opportunity for the EdUHK community to come together and explore ideas related to the theme A|Symmetry.

Symmetry - mirrors, reflections, balance, and harmony.

Asymmetry - an absence of all of those.

Though often considered opposites, symmetry and asymmetry are sometimes separated only by a fine line. At TEDxEdUHK 2020, our aim is to explore how the symmetries and asymmetries of the world interact and shape our lives.

We are looking for student speakers with something interesting to share about A|Symmetry. The theme is left open to interpretation and we encourage new and different perspectives. As a speaker, you will not only gain professional speaking experience but also have the chance to inspire a live audience and thousands online with your talk.

An example of a student speaking at TEDxEdUHK 2019 can be seen here.

Student speaker Eric Yau explains how sports connect people at TEDxEdUHK 2019.

To apply, please submit a proposal for your talk by Monday, March 30, 2020. Selected applicants will be invited to an audition with the opportunity to receive further coaching and guidance from the International Tutor Team through the preparation process.

We look forward to your application! If you have any questions, please email tedxeduhk@gmail.com.
