From May 26 to June 3, 2025, the Centre for Language in Education (CLE) organized the Beijing Cultural and Language Immersion Study Tour sponsored by the University Grants Committee (UGC). 30 students from different programmes went to the Beijing Language and Culture University to participate in cultural experience and exchange activities and to learn about Chinese culture. During the tour, they not only participated in traditional Chinese tea art classes, calligraphy classes, and Chinese language classes, but also visited famous sites such as the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, and the National Museum. They also climbed the Mutianyu Great Wall to experience the grandeur and beauty of the landscape.

In addition, they visited Haidian District No. 3 Experimental Primary School and Beijing 101 Middle School Shiyou campus, where they observed lessons taught to local primary and secondary students. Through interactions with teachers and students, they gained valuable insights into the education system in mainland China.  All students expressed great satisfaction with the experience, emphasizing that the tour offered them a well-rounded understanding of Chinese culture and provided significant personal and academic benefits.
