The effectiveness of using student and teacher centered analogies on the development of the students’ cognitive and affective skills

Implications

Our study is carried out with the primary school 6th class students and the students were requested to form their own analogies as a result of the study where the student centered analogy technique was used. However, because the students at this stage sometimes can not enter the abstract processes period, it is observed that they have difficulty in forming their analogies. Because of this reason, it could be more useful to apply the analogy technique in the new studies on the students in upper stages.
