4. Do I need a visa to visit Bangkok, Thailand?
  Tourist Visa Exemption

Passport holders from 42 countries and special administrative region are not required to obtain a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period of not exceeding 30 days on each visit. These 42 countries are:

5. How will we get from the airport to the conference hotel/venue?
  Transportation from Bangkok Airport

(a) Public Taxi

Public taxi can be found outside the arrival hall of the airport for about Th Baht 350 - 400 from the airport to the Pathumwan Princess Hotel. (You are advised to ask the driver taking the "expressway" for approximately 35-40 minutes into Rama 4 exit. Turn left and drive straight along Rama 4 road and take a right turn on the SamYan intersection. The hotel is 15 miles away from the Bangkok International Airport.) Please note that Public Taxi cannot issue receipt.

(b) AOT Limousine

6. How do I book a hotel room?
  -Unless otherwise advised in advance, your room bill for March 8th and March 9th
will be covered by the Roundtable. You will be responsible for all other expenses incurred.

8. Who is attending?
  Participation is by-invitation only, and limited to 60+ scholars, scholar-practitioners, training managers, policymakers, and principals from 15 countries / territories in the region and beyond. Thus far we have received 60+ confirmations from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, Israel and Sweden.
9. What are the goals of the Roundtable?
  Our goals for the Roundtable 2015 are:

1. To share research findings related to instructional leadership;
2. To build national literatures in educational leadership;
3. To connect an Asian Knowledge Base in educational leadership to the global knowledge base; and
4.
To prepare for Phase II of the Instructional Leadership in East Asia project.
10. Do I need to write a paper for the Roundtable?
  We do not require participants to submit formal papers for the Asia Leadership Roundtable 2015, but we highly encourage you to submit formal papers for the conference. Upon your permission, the APCLC and the Chulalongkorn will formally publish them in international refereed journals and / or in conference proceeding and APCLC Monograph series.

We request that participants submit papers from 1,500 to 5,000 words in length. Topic should revolve around "Building and Connecting an Asian Knowledge Base in Educational Leadership". Details of submission requirements please refer to the attached.
11. Will I make a presentation of my paper?
  Participants will not present their papers. The format of the meeting emphasizes interaction,    not academic paper presentation.
12. When is my paper due?
 
If you choose to submit a paper, the schedule is as follows.

-The abstract is due on January 30th , 2015.
-Draft paper is due on March 9th, 2015, if any.
-The full paper is due on June 1st , 2015.
13. Will there be visual audio aids for presentation?
  For the Provocateur sessions, Key Speeches and Panel Discussion, computer generated projectors will be provided.

During the concurrent and working sessions in Day 1 of Roundtable (March 9, 2015), whiteboard and markers will be provided. If you want us to print any handouts or poster for you, please send to us (APCLC@ied.edu.hk) no later than March 2, 2015 (Monday).
