Description

This project aims to (i) develop an online platform to collect classroom observation data from our developed mobile applications and provide teachers and schools immediate feedbacks; (ii) provide online forums for practitioners to share experiences in classroom observation to promote virtual communities of practice; and (iii) facilitate self-evaluation and peer observation in schools.

Students in the project will learn to use two mobile applications and support in-service teachers in using the applications for lesson observations. They will be trained to support in workshops of ICALT and CETIT which helps them to obtain experience in researching area. Students who are interested in doing research can gain a better understanding of measurement of effective teaching. The involvement of this project can also help students to enrich teaching effectiveness experiences in career planning.

ICALT and CETIT are mobile applications developed based on validated measurements of effective teaching and inspiring. ICALT and CETIT (FIRE) have good functionalities which are more efficient to measure effective teaching by teacher themselves when having lessons. Other teachers and researchers can use them for self-evaluation, peer observation, teaching and practitioner research.
