Probity Requirements: Other than the application fee, applicants are not required to pay any additional fees during the application process. Please be reminded not to offer any advantage to any EdUHK staff, officer, employee, and/or any person involved in the admission process at EdUHK in connection with any application. Otherwise, you may commit serious criminal offences under Prevention of Bribery Ordinance (Cap. 201 of the laws of Hong Kong), which is punishable by imprisonment.

EdUHK has not collaborated with any agency in Chinese Mainland or Hong Kong on admission, and does not encourage students to entrust their applications to any third-party agents and we always contact applicants directly on updates regarding the applications. You must complete and submit your own application via the EdUHK online admissions system and provide your own personal and contact details. Please refer to the official EdUHK channels, such as programme websites and the admissions system, for the required information to complete your application.

Admission Term: August / September 2026 Intake (Semester 1, 2026/27)

EdUHK is one of the teacher education providers in Hong Kong. Graduates of the University’s teacher education programmes are eligible to apply to become fully qualified Registered Teachers. For registration as a teacher, graduates should approach the Teacher Registration Team of the Education Bureau (EDB) to submit applications directly. All applications will be independently assessed by the EDB which will consider, among other things, whether an applicant has been convicted of any criminal offence (including sex-related offences) in Hong Kong or elsewhere, or is involved in any ongoing criminal proceedings or investigations. Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Primary)

Main round application deadline: 4 December 2025 (Thursday) (Hong Kong time 12:00 noon)

Application for admission to full-time PGDE(Primary) programme was closed. For part-time PGDE(Primary) programme, we are accepting late applications for admission to the following subjects. Late applications will only be considered on a space-available basis.


  • Part-time PGDE(Primary) programme: Chinese, English, Mathematics, and Primary Science as TSS1
Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Secondary)

Main round application deadline: 4 December 2025 (Thursday) (Hong Kong time 12:00 noon)

Application for admission to full-time PGDE(Secondary) programme was closed. For part-time PGDE(Secondary) programme, we are accepting late applications for admission to the following subjects. Late applications will only be considered on a space-available basis.


  • Part-time PGDE(Secondary) programme: Design and Technology, and Mathematics
Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Early Childhood Education)

Application for admission to full-time PGDE(ECE) programme was closed. For part-time PGDE(ECE) programme, we are accepting late applications. Late applications will only be considered on a space-available basis.

The certification in Chinese Mainland is an independent process from the conferral of academic qualification in Hong Kong by the University. For the avoidance of doubt, no warranties are given in respect of individual graduate’s qualification certification or recognition in Chinese Mainland or any other professional qualification or license outside Hong Kong.


In the event of inconsistency between information in English and Chinese versions or where an interpretation of the programme content is required, the decision of the University shall be final.
