Dr. Chow Wai Kwan Alice 周慧君博士 greater knowledge and understanding about a subject or situation.
Dr. Cheung Ka Luen 張家麟博士 In the course of learning and teaching, teachers learn as much as
Dr. Fung Siu Han Anissa 馮笑嫺博士 students do. Learning and teaching is never a one-way process;
rather it is an interaction between teachers and students in which
the former are also receiving inputs from the latter. The sharing
of knowledge and experience is one of core values that underpins
enlightening education. This e-publication is a collaborative effort
by students and teachers of the Institute, who share the valuable
knowledge and experience gained in their journey of learning and
teaching.
This e-book is divided into two parts and each part consists
of nine articles. In the first part ‘My Enlightenment’, students
and teachers remark on the challenges they face in learning and
teaching and more importantly, how they transform the challenges
into enlightening experiences that serve as an impetus for positive
change. In the second part ‘Enlightening Teaching and Research’,
students and teachers articulate their views on topics related to
learning and teaching such as the values of literature and ways
of enhancing consistency and fairness in assessing student work.
Paralleling the writings of students and to those of teachers, this
e-book presents a dialogue between the two in which knowledge,
experience and insights are shared.
I enjoy reading the articles a lot and I recommend this e-book
for anyone at any stage of their journey of learning and teaching.
Due to its portable nature, this e-book is convenient for reading and
readers can literally enjoy it anywhere, anytime. As Education is an
