Professor Liz Jackson at the Department of International Education, The Education University of Hong Kong, received the 2021 Critics’ Choice Book Award of the American Educational Studies Association (AESA) for her book entitled Beyond virtue: The politics of educating emotions. The book was published by Cambridge University Press in 2020.

The Critics’ Choice Award serves to recognise and increase awareness of recent scholarship deemed to be outstanding in its field and of potential interest to members of the Association. Professor Jackson’s publication was chosen ahead of 59 other volumes submitted for the prize.
