Predictive Vegetation Management for Proximal Trees along Power Transmission Lines

Monitoring of tree growth of selected species located under the overhead power transmission cables. The detailed field measured data will be used to develop a mathematical predictive model to estimate tree branch extensions under different seasonal and weather conditions. The model can help to plan and schedule tree pruning and to selective tree species to abate the conflicts between trees and power lines and reduce the chance of power outage.
