Central Funding for Patent Applications

About the Funding

The setup of a central fund to support patent applications for the protection of inventions from staff of EdUHK aims to encourage our staff to capitalize their intellectual work through patent registration.  The initial amount to be allocated to this central fund is HK$1.5 million.

Applications can be made throughout the year.

All full-time academic and teaching staff who have at least one-year’s contract is eligible for applying for this fund.

Colleagues wishing to apply for central funding support of patent applications are requested to submit a completed Invention Disclosure Form to Committee of Research and Development (CRD) via KT Sub-Office.

The proposed fund applications will be vetted by the CRD.  KT Sub-Office of RDO will administrate the applications received and make recommendations to CRD for final consideration.
